Portnoy went to pick Miss. Peaches up from her foster mom in a parking lot on Valentine's Day. Ever since they've been inseparable. Portnoy has been documenting most of their first week together on social media. He even shared a major breakthrough for Miss. Peaches — the day that she finally stopped being afraid of the stairs!

When they took her in, Miss. Peaches needed to be in a place where she would get "TLC and recover." Someone looking to foster Miss. Peaches quickly stepped up and within three weeks the dog was doing much better. "Peaches was healing," the voiceover added. She also gained two "siblings" in foster care named Lana and Chestnut, which really helped her on her journey. The foster family was then contacted by Jet Wag Animal Rescue, which put her into contact with Portnoy.
